Description

A unique USMLE Board review book that is both your "First AidAND "Last-Minute Study Buddyfor the big test day!

Medical students have a brief window of only a few months to rapidly review for the USMLE Step 1 Exam. However, there are two universal problems that students encounter when approaching this anxiety-filled time:

1. "What should I study first?" Ideally, you want to be putting your initial time and efforts into the most high-yield topics that you need a better grasp of understanding. But there is so much you now need to begin recalling since your first day in medical school. It's hard to determine where exactly lay your strengths, weaknesses, and everything in between! Wouldn't it be helpful if you could somehow have a rapid, bird's eye view of where you stand with ALL high-yield USMLE topics so you can create a gameplan of where to begin studying for the USMLE Step 1 Test?

2. "How can I effectively cram 2 weeks before the USMLE when there's too much to know...It's overwhelming!" You've already read an overwhelming number of vignettes. Reading just one more will cause you to miss out on reviewing other important "high-yield" info that's stashed away in clinical case presentations. Again, you need some kind of last minute, bird's eye view that rapidly captures ALL the high-yield USMLE information in a way that allows you to cram efficiently.

Relax! We've got you covered with USMLE Step 1 Made Ridiculously Simple (MRS).

This book takes ALL the most high yield basic science facts and boils them down into a self testing chart format; thereby giving that rapid, bird's eye view to give YOU the upper hand on where you stand before creating a game plan for studying for the test AND is a highly effective, rapid tool used to cram everything you need to know right before taking the test. And to make things even easier to understand, we use brief clinical contexts to break down the basic science facts in the charts instead of using long and dull vignettes. Our student focused approach ensures that when you order a physical copy, you will receive a spiral bound format that lays down flat for easy note taking, highlighting, and self testing!

Don't fall for the "high-yield trap" of getting stuck with not knowing what to study right before the test. Study like a "MedMaster" instead! These charts offer the most info with minimal reading by concentrating on key associations with extremely brief clinical context. That's great for multiple-choice questions!

USMLE Step 1 Made Ridiculously Simple brings everything you've learned together with confidence for the big day by acting as the best ever "FIRST aid for the USMLE" AND your "LAST-minute study buddy!"

*Numerous color illustrations to help drive home difficult to understand concepts.

Companion Digital Download of USMLE Step 1 Quiz Question Bank (Mac/Win); 1000+ questions in “mix and match style” rather than clinical vignettes that you’ve been pounding for months. In this short amount of time left before the exam, vignettes are very inefficient for review since you need to read a very lengthy question description just to test one single knowledge fact! Our downloadable “Mix and match” style allows you to test several items at once in a much shorter time.

Easy to use, amazingly helpful!

Easy to use, amazingly helpful! I used this book as part of my Step 1 studying and found it easy to use, well organized and great for self-testing with helpful chart formats. It's terrific for last minute reviewing and also for getting a good framework to organize the material as you learn it.

great review book for the week before the exam!

great review book for the week before the exam! I love the outline format and how it really hits all the topics you need to know. It definitely doesn’t go into much detail, but the way it is written allows for plenty of space to make notes, and also to quiz yourself while going through the book. I say everyone should definitely read it the week before their exam.

This book is an awesome starting place!

This book is an awesome starting place! This book is an awesome starting place. Studying for boards can be daunting and this is like a super concise outline to work off of. It doesn't have everything you'll need but it's a great place to begin and then build off of. A lot of other board books have too much detail for quick review and can bog you down if your just trying to make sure you've covered all your bases. I wish it was a little more compact though (combining more tables on to one page with less overall pages) though.
