Does it what is supposed to do.

Good book as a refresher. Reading this book first as sort of a prep makes the other textbooks such as the Guyton and Hall more digestible. I suggest reading this to get the overall concept or generalized map of physiology and then read the textbooks for the details deserving of the boards. Makes it more digestible.

To the other reviewers, please keep in mind that this book does not set out to be a replacement textbook or as a resource for your review, this is meant exclusively as just a quick rundown of physiology. Do not expect this to be comprehensive at all; this book is about the major concepts and for most people, that is enough to finally break the barrier of understanding and not understanding the concepts.

PA student here- Great book. I used this book and the pathophysiology

PA student here- Great book. I used this book and the pathophysiology made ridiculously simple text as well to study for my path class. It REALLY helped me to gain a conceptual view of the information, while still paying great attention to detail. I dont understand how 20 pages of this book (with a few of the pathophysiology) can be so easy to read, but still give me pretty much IDENTICAL information to whats in my schools text. Its magical. If you want to pass path, get it already!

necessary study guide

Helpful in understanding how questions are worded and the content expected in the answers. It also helped me focus on relevant content areas. If you have this it will give you an edge in the class.
